Bassfunk Stephen
Bassfunk Stephen è Vladimiro Stefano Frau, un artista di Ussana (CA) con diversi anni di esperienza nel mondo della musica, maturati in ambienti vari legati al settore, già dal lontano 1991 nel ruolo di DJ, che ancora oggi ricopre per i locali di zona in eventi vari ai quali, spesso, prende parte anche alla fase organizzativa. Sovente impegnato in service nel campo di allestimenti audio-luci presso locali privati e in eventi P.A.
Attualmente co-proprietario del Sonada Studio di Donori (CA), in collaborazione con Andrea Aru, affianca al ruolo di Studio Recording Manager quello di co-titolare delle etichette Groove Sonada (groovesonada@gmail.com, dedicata al panorama elettronico e dj) e Sonada Music (info.sonada@gmail.com) doppia label indipendente, che si pone come obiettivo quello di valorizzare la musica, senza limiti di genere, mettendo al primo posto l'artista.
Conta ormai sette singoli all'attivo come produttore, autore e compositore, cura tutta la fase realizzativa delle sue opere, compreso la scelta delle scene e il montaggio video, nonché la realizzazione delle copertine dei dischi in autonomia. Partecipa alla produzione e mix di diversi progetti indipendenti con artisti vari, coi quali collabora, del panorama sardo, nazionale e internazionale.
Il brano Back to Underground feat Syl Mel, prodotto nel 2022, ha registrato un buon riscontro nel panorama musicale del genere Funky House, ed è trasmesso in tutto il mondo in numerose emittenti radiofoniche, scalando le classifiche, raggiungendo il dodicesimo posto su Beatport, tra le altre.
